Lahore as I know it !!

We all tend to love what or where we love, see the world from our own rose colored glasses. Memories that have been tarnished by living in a foreign country, things that have faded. But what still remains in the contentment that came with living in lahore. The feeling of being at home. Feeling of being around your own people. feeling of knowing how to move around and what to do. Lahore was the place, that has both good and bad irreplaceable memories. I sometimes wish I could clean up the whole Lahore, make all the people rich, people still ride their bikes but shining clean bikes, air is clean, water is clean, people are happy(well they already are I guess). But the worst thing that kills me inside is that our beautiful city lahore which was even more beautiful because of the poeple, is being taken down bit by bit, New developments are not according to the law and to enhance the beauty of lahore. I sometimes feel lahore is being robbed by those illiterate, unorganized, backward small group of rich and unethical people.

Atif, welcome to Lahore man :o). You just reminded me of good ol days of FC college. Those were the days and I have some wonderful memories of that time. Lahore was a lil different back then, i think.

Thing that worries me the most is the polulation. Just imagine the city after 20-25 years.
