[News Item] As the monsoon season approaches, Lahoris are at the mercy of the heavens and perhaps on an aid tranche from Japan to take care of water logging, as the Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) only has 19 operational sucker lorries to cater to the needs of around seven million residents.

    The state has issued flood alerts in the areas around the Chenab and these areas are being evacuated.The water level in Ravi is not alarming though.
