What I love the most about Lahore is its rich culture. You have all these festivals and events going on all the time. Even if you go out on the streets on any regular day there is so much happening. My personal favourite is the International Puppet Festival hosted by Rafi Peer Group. I used to look forward to going there because it was fun to watch those amazing puppets move about, dance, sing …come to life!! and I loved the ambience. Chilly winter nights, noise, all these lights of different colors and sizes, little stalls to grab a snack and people!!
Everytime we went we would pick different kinds of shows to watch (shadow puppets, marionettes and the big ones that i dont know the name of) and never watch the same kind twice. I think its amazing how all these talented people from over 50 countries come together to put up this event.
