ramzan randomness

The one phrase that I’ve heard way too many people say this Ramazan is “I’m not ready for Ramazan yet!”
Other than that though, all my friends in the states seem to be way into the month, even though it’s only the second fast for them today, and we seem to be sailing behind the rest of the world in fearless blinking abandon. I’ve also heard endless complains over the really absurd Ramzan timings for uni – they’ve moved up 8:45 classes to 7:10 am! Winking sleep after sehri, have to snap back alarms and get up in jarring morningness before you even realise that you fell asleep.

Mostly though, you can hear a collective sigh of relief that its not summer anymore.

This is a step in the right direction. A lot of people have the lazy habit of falling asleep right after sehri and waking up to their 8 oclock alarms.

A few Ramazans back I requested my boss to let me come in to work an hour earlier and leave an hour earlier. I had it all chalked out – I never went to sleep after sehri and only an hour later I would be off to work with an alert state of mind.

Result : productive day and boss happy.
