aftershocks tonight?

I’m not able to access the Geo website for some reason right now, but one of my friends just told me that they announced that aftershocks are expected between 1 and 2 am tonight. Be safe, everyone.

    Please remember these are unfortunately false rumors.

    It is a technical impossibility to predict any specific time for aftershocks (or earthquakes). Earthquakes are a possibility on all tectonic fault-lines, but prediction of a specific hour of the day, a day of the week … or even a specific year in a century is impossible.

    It is really sad that during such extremely trying times, people get careless with the truth and cause uneccessary heartache.
