I was impressed to see how much people who have never been to Pakistan or never even heard of Pakistan, were willing to help. The Pakistan Students Federation at my university has been collection donations and holing bake sales since last week. The number of people willing to contribute and the number of people willing to skip classes to walk all over campus for collecting donations was overwhelming. Infact, the Bharatya Students Assosication helped in collecting clothes and money to be sent to Pakistan. By now PSF has managed to collect over 13 thousand dollars and the efforts will continue from what I hear. PSF is also trying to get the government to match the donation dollar for dollar, hopefully that will work out and the money will be sent either to red cross or edhi foundation. Pakistan student organizations at other universities and colleges and the Muslim students association is also actively working for this cause. InshAllah it will not go to waste.
