With Spirit Intact – Hope for the Asian Earthquake Victims

A poem of hope by Jill Eisnaugle for the victims of 8th October’s deadly earthquake.

Though the ground rattled and rumbled
And the world fell to its knees
Far beneath the mounds of rubble
There is hope for what can be
When we join as one, together
To bring comfort through our acts
So this hardship can be weathered
With strong spirit intact.

As loved ones wait for some assurance
In the form of word or sign
Through compassion and endurance
We can bring them peace divine
While they struggle to find reason
In the wake of such despair

Eid Mubarik to all Lahori MetroBloggers around the world. Especially Nausheen, Maleeha, Darwaish, Yasir, Mahboob, Hassan Mubarak, RainMan, MoBajwa, Smudgestic, Shirazi and All the Purploo Ballooners whose real names I don’t know yet.

My pray goes to all the managers and writers of this metblog that if there is any slightest of conflicts in principal or in any manner, may it all gets cleared out. Its been my short stay here and I’ve already started feeling at home. Hope all the years ahead may Allah keep all the Lahore Metrobloggers closer than close as a family and none of us depart. Ameen. :)

    Cheers and Love!
    Opee :)
