What’s your LEAST favorite street in Lahore?

Mine is Ferozepur Road. Right from the Muslim Town Morr (the canal intersection), to Mozang and beyond,.eeeugh. It is a nightmare. Bad traffic, uncles in baby pink vests (don’t ask me) with huge moustaches, noxious exhaust fumes, ALL THE NOISSSSSE from the phatt-phatties and pagal honking, minivan nightriders, cycle wala stuntmen, motorcycle wheelie experts, qingqis, insane aunties wth truckloads of kids crossing the road without looking left or right, gaddha gariyan (donkey carts), overloaded tongas, BUSES… rayhri walas…it’s just a combination of the worst possible elements you would want to see anywhere, least of all one of the busiest roads in the city.

What’s your least favorite street in Lahore?

You made me think for a while.. It’s circular road – if you can’t get enough of ferozepur road’s phatiks, go there. I bet you’ll love it too! :D

tie between Multan Road on any vehicle and Nadeem Shaheed Road on a rickshaw …

Was wondering .. would a Lahori do a post about Lahore’s footpaths? i mean are there any? Me and my dad could only think of the few odd ones every few metres on the Mall Road and that oo on one side of the road … then there is one around Fortress Stadium …

    anymore anyone?

hmm… rickshaw can find its way on ANY road..bech bech se nikal kar out and away b4 u know it :)

hehe.. i love cylce wale stunt men n phatt patties :P.. for past two years i have hated the road between punjab university and sheikh zaid hospital..from nehar wala ishara to end ..traffic is always jam there after 7 .. once i was stuck for an hour and 25 mins! it was miserable specially when underpass was being built on capus nehr

speaking of mall road footpaths.. anyone noticed those beautiful lights they have there?.. specially the footpath right in front of bandu khan..i think the lights are from 18th century.. not sure though

    Footpaths……..humm
Other than Mall Rd. I can only think of Haider Road in Islampura (Krishan Nagar of old) where there are footpaths on both side of the road :)

I simply hate ferozpur road. There is something about it that i just cant stand. This is the route which all the mazdoor people coming from qasoor take. Being from FC college I have used the mazdas and mini vans on ferozpur road, countless times. And beleive me its the worst route in lahore to travel using public transport.

i think that all the above streets are nightmares too but kalma chowk is one of the places where 4 main roads of lahore are connected and its hell in rush hours
