Model House

Saw this on a road side tonight. This model house for the quake affected areas seems to be made of welded tin sheets only. I wonder how practical it is as its starting to get colder everyday and tents may not be enough.

I’d imagine this doesn’t really help. I’m not an engineer, but I wonder if it’d help if they put another slightly bigger tin-tent like this outside this. That, I’d think, would trap air and create some sort of insulation.

Any engineers here wanna tell us if that’d work?

Yes Ali you’re right. But looking at the pic, you never know, they might have insulation lining inside. Tin sheets do help from snow and rain, and don’t catch fire.

Well, only sheets wont help bcoz they’d become intensely cold when snow or rain would fall or even in nights … but if there’s insulation between the sheets then it can help …!

    Certainly beats a canvas tent
