Lt. Number 3’s Book of the While

trespassing%20cover.jpg I’m a book girl, so have decided that hence I shall be periodically recommending books for the bookless to read. Not only will I sound erudite and intellectual, I will also have lots of posts! Woo hoo!

This (hopefully the picture has put itself in here somewhere) is the cover for Uzma Aslam Khan’s ‘Trespassing’. I chose this one because that’s the cover for the copy I have hehe…but it’s recently been published in the U.S by Picador which is why I have rediscovered this extraordinary book. Critics have heaped praise on it, as they are wont to- ‘Haunting and beautiful’ (Sunday Glasgow Mail), ‘A stunning, intricate novel with epic scope’ (Metro) amd best of all:

    i personally feel the book gets a bit too boring towards the end.
    reading “beloved city” (a book about lahore) edited by bapsi sidhwa, these days.
