The internet’s a call away

I’ve always found the WOL internet hours by phone service extremely convenient when I can’t run out to get a scratch card and i absolutely have to get online. You call 090010222, and follow the instructions to get either 1 or 2 internet hours. They deduct the payment from your ptcl phone bill. It’s a little on the expensive side – I think an hour costs about 20 rupees or so, but the convenience factor more than balances that out. Tis great for holidays when the shops are closed and you can’t get scratch cards anyway. :)

This scratch card is used for dial up internet connection. Like phone cards, upon scratching it shows a pin.

Cable internet is available in Lahore and I think it costs around 1200Rs/mo. Speed is very slow around 128kbps (15KB/s max).
