Today i recieved this mail from a PUnjab University student,if you guys can do something about this serious issue then please do help them.

    ASLAM-O-ALAIKUM,
I am a student of M.A ENGLISH PART 2,and just recieved my part1 result which proved to be a nightmare for me as well as for all my classfellows because we never expected such a atrocity which we have to face.Panjab university being itself following the semester system is least bother about what is happening to the student who attain above 40 in each subject (which is a passing figure )an still considered to be a failure. What is the benefit of 40 –nothing.WHY they dont understand that 45(225) is aggragate figure and a passing figure. But i am very sorry to say that the examiners even dont know what is aggragate and what it meant.I am not guessing but i know a teacher who marked linguistic paper this year ,and he never knew that aggragate is 45–what a pity.what can be said to such a system and its administration.i am personally a victim because i am a student who expected to get above 280 marks but unfortunaltely i am not capable(in their view)to be passed.I want to know ,who is to blame?
what we are asked to write in the papers if not what we have produced in the exams—-i got a supply in drama paper paper-which according to mewas brilliantly attempet -and i estimated above 60 in it –but i attain 33 marks—its shoking for me.There are many of my friends who got 45-43-44-42-43 and still they are full failis it not pathetic.
And the most miserable thing is that this unjustice is done to all brilliant student and those students who were not even capable to be passed have got good marksand there are many students who are failed in other papers and they (surprisingly)got excellent marks in drama—what is right what is wrong –who is here to decide.
Now i want to request that the only compensation(though not completely)is that we should granted 25 grace marks. In last two year ,the same had happened and atlast students were granted 25 marks to equal their loss—-if it had happened to them on humanitarian grounds, why not this year? The only thing i can do is the request to oblige us with 25 marks. It will be a great help to many of the deserving students. Please MR.VICE CHANCELLOR ,do something to save the future of many students.
    Thank you.
    A Student of m.a english part 2
