Sheikh Nuh Keller’s lectures in Avari

Today, I had the pleasure of attending a lecture by Sheikh Nuh Keller that took place at the Avari Hotel, Lahore.

American Muslim Sheikh Nuh Keller read philosophy and classical Arabic at the University of Chicago and UCLA, and became Muslim in Cairo in 1977. He studied Shafi’i and Hanafi jurisprudence, hadith, and other subjects with
traditional scholars in the Middle East, going on to produce a number of authentic Shariah-based works, including the “Reliance of the Traveller”, a 1250 page classic manual of Islamic Sacred Law, and Imam Nawawi’s

The topic is “Sufism and Islam”.
From Fri till Sunday. So if you are really interested, you can attend on Sunday, that is tommorrow.

I read some of his articles on Islam and Fiqh (Law) and such on this website:

And of course, I suggest that you too! The person is more learned than one would think, and he seems to be walking the thin line between all-out ‘love and poetry’ Sufism and practical, followable Islam. May God guide us all! Ameen to that!
