“Charagh Jalta Naa Raha”


“Shahanshah-e-Jazbaat”; the veteran film star Muhammad Ali died of cardiac arrest in Lahore yesterday.

He started his carrier as a radio anchor and rose to become the most loved figure in Pakistani film industry. There has not been a single actress of his time with whom he did not star as a hero.


Ali started off with “Charagh Jalta Raha” in 1962, in which he played the role of a villian. His most popular movies include “Aag ka Darya”, “Aaina aur Surat”, “Daman aur Chingari”, “Palki”, “Khandan”, “Kaneez”, “Phool Meray Gulshan ka” and many more. Of 325 movies did by Ali, he won 7 Nigar awards for best actor in a leading role.

Muhammad Ali’s Namaz-e-Janazah will be held tomorrow near his house at Liberty Park after Zohar Prayer.
