Pride of performance, Olympian Rustam-e-Pakistan, Asian gold medallist, SAF gold medallist and wrestler of International fame, Abdul Majeed Maroowala died last night due to kidney failure in Umar Hospital, Lahore.

He was laid to rest in Lahore on Thursday. His “Qul” will be held on March 31(Friday; today) at 10:00 am at his residence in Bilal Ganj Lahore.

So Rolls Royce is here and Audi is also scheduled to be launched very soon as Balloon-o-Eight writes in his post here. Would you be surprised if I tell you who are the very first buyers (orders placed or paid) of this Rolls Royce in Pakistan? ;)

Surprise surprise, one of them is son of former navy chief Mansoor Ul Haq (yup the same guy who made billions in those famous military deals and got away by just paying a little percentage to NAB - wonderful job btw) and second one is son of Moulana Fazal Ur Rehman (now that came as surprise to me even and he was also famous in 90’s by another name if anyone can remember?). I am told that Monis Elahi (Punjab Chief Minister’s son) is also planning to buy one. Whats with all these sons buying/ordering Rolls Royce? Anyways go check Dewan Motors buyers list (that is IF they allow you to see it, a friend of mine was influential and kind enough to show me few names ;p) and be even more surprised if this isn’t enough.

But hey I am glad that finally I will be able to see a Rolls Royce on main boulevard (yes yes, I really haven’t seen one in real life). ok may be from distance but still isn’t it nice? :)

I just couldn’t believe it at first when I saw a whole full-page add in the Dawn about Rolls Royce officially coming to Pakistan. BMW tak tou theek tha, then it was Porche and now this! woof!

From where is this capital coming??
And what the heck is Dewan group upto!

After months of causing accidents, vehicle break downs and sheer inconvenience to commuters, the city government has finally decided to reconstruct this vital road that runs between Township & Johar Town.

I read it twice to confirm if I was reading it incorrect…

Two days back, Lahore was thrashed by a strong dust/windstorm.

We don’t know what the actual wind speed was, but it was really scary to see tree branches coming down and watching backyards covered with utter dust & those filthy thing; “Lafafas”.

Later on, the wind, somehow, got filtered and it became quite clean to breath in while getting your ear-drums beating with sounds of wind like “woofs”.
