more more telenor …

I happened to stop at Telenor’s main building last night and noticed that a lot of redesigning has been done there recently. The new logo, as mentioned in the post by Jamash, is much more catchy that the previous one (which somehow reminded me of Greece for no appearent reason) and is making the old Informatics building look a lot better as well. I was just wondering where Informatics moved to, any ideas?

Telenor is not even 2 yrs old and already they have started rebranding their products??? Speaks volume about the “growth potential” of the company. I guess they must be realy desperate to hit some sales targets & apparently they are also ready to spend sum big bucks too. Good effort though.

Informatics has moved to Gulberg Industrial Area. Rite where there is Pepsi ki factory and SNGPL ka office. Its also the head office of Beacon House. Their address is:
    10/11 Guru Mangat Rd.
    Industrial Area
    Gulberg III, Lahore

    Hi all,

Just a point of information for all.

    Telenor is NOT “Re Launching”.

Telenor ASA, the norvegian parent company did a brand logo/look/feel corporate identity refresh a few months (almost 6 months) ago.
It was only a matter of time that the global rebranding excercise trickled down to all its operations worldwide.

Should you go to telenor.com you would notice that the new telenor.com.pk website also conforms to the format of the parent company’s website.

So its a mistake to say it was a last ditch effort for whatever reasons.
On the contrary i was wondering if they would want to rebrand in pakistan since they have already invested a lot in their identity and are still young in the market. Yet they did go ahead with the refresh.

I have seen the commercials and the new brand ambassadors(kind of!), Mehreen Raheel for the prepaid and Jamal Shah for the postpaid packages.

In my opinion…an excellent choice…both faces. The new look to me conveys a sense of dynamisn, creativity, originality and identity, something Mobilink and Ufone have but Warid and Paktel miss out on (like TOTALLY!).
The TV advert though visually attractive comes aruond as a disjointed! The voice overs…where every character speaks out a line…do not blend in if you understand what im saying…
They sound like afterthough cheap dubbings with the same person trying to sound like different people in different situations (with the exception of the women of course!)

And THAT dear sir is not a smart call ;)
