Re-launching Mughal-e-Azam
Indian epic ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ starring Dilip Kumar & Madhubala is being re-launched in Pakistan after its disastrous initial failure some months back. The re-launch is scheduled during the month of July and our very own Sozo Gold’s going to show the movie.

A ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ hoarding at Sozo
I had an opportunity to speak with several people on whether they feel excited about it. Most answers were in the negative. According to most of the people, they have watched ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ so many times on VHS, CDs & DVDs that a cinema screening is no longer a temptation. Some of them expressed their desire to watch ‘Veer-Zara’, ‘Rang de Basanti’ or Karan Johar’s upcoming flick ‘ Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ which they prefered over older movies.
Do you really think there’s a prospect for latest Indian movies to make inroads into Pakistani cinemas?
or will such old movies like ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ be able to create enough appeal among Pakistani cinema-goers??
