‘Indian Saas – Pakistani Bahu’ duo go for recruitment
After some sort of joint partnership, Balaji Telefilms of India and ARY Digital have teamed up and are recruiting new actors/actresses for roles in their upcoming joint projects. For the purpose, they are having auditions at the Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore on October 11, 2006.
Balaji Telefilms is widely known as the master production house behind Indian TV’s revival through soaps based on varried themes; most popularly, those focussed on exaggerated fiasco of Saas-Bahu relationship.
If cheap adaptations of these soaps by Pakistani TV channels was not enough; the ‘Indian Saas – Pakistani Bahu’ partnership are officially here.
So, Hasan are you contemplating going to the audition?
@You Know Who:
I’m only afraid that if you would be there; I’ll never stand a chance!! :p
Hate to be the resident Molvi here but is it a good idea, morally, to be involved with Indians? I mean what do we lack in Pakistan to get involved with the type of society they have?
@ yahya
bravoOOO!
you are my first pakistani who considers this lewd, base production by india in contempt.
I rhought i would die searching for a support against these base productions aired in the name of entertainment from across the border. As if we already do’nt recognise them as a ntion of consiprators they actually have to go out and spend millions on such productions where the true charatcter of india is displayed at its maximum. In this drama the national asset of consipracy is projected at its best, with each new episode a new conspirator makes her(mostly its a lady) entry, and through endless years they go on nitting their maliciuos web of schemes where wife is scheming against husband, husband is scheming against his ferind, friend is scheming against husband to get back at his wife, wife is scheming against her both the sister in laws and they in turn want to have her husband in tarde of their own husbands
Indian taste of such stories is understandable as their religious book ramayan is nothing more than a long tale of such scehemes and incidents, but what a pkistani finds amusing in such soaps is completly beyond me.
First we lost contact with books, grew far from the literature and now it is our god taste for drama which is poisoned by these easy to grab soaps, where audience does not have to think, as every thing is worked out by the consiprator in advance. But the truth is pakistani drama is million times better than these easy come easy go productions aired by india.
we aught to promote our own works rather than be awed by the intruder and lose the battle unfought.
A well written reply Sadaf.
@Sadaf: You’ve got one more supporter here…
Did anyone, actually, go to the auditions today??
Not me. :) At least I am not admitting.
@Yahya: lol; that means you went there!
Somehow they didn’t buy that I am a girl with just a little too much hair.
@Yahya: lol!
