where is my winter?
hmmm.. I wonder what has happened to all those Mahkma e Mausamiyaat (weather department) claims that this year’s winter will be harsh and will come a bit earlier than usual. Its almost end of first week of November and no signs of my beloved sardiyaan yet. I was hoping to get my hands on mong phalis and chalghozas by this time of the month but I guess not yet.
oh and by the way, what is the best thing about lahori winter?
Sitting by the fire with your head in your mum’s lap?! listening to the silent wind outside…. Ohhh!
its still hot. we have ac’s on in our office
afternoons are the best part on a clear sunny day
there are so many things, like eating ladoo pethi walay still warm from the cart sitting in ur lawn feeling the warmth of sun at ur back, oranges after lunch, the best thing perhaps is chasing the sun with ur charpai or chair up to the last corner of yard until it finally sets down ending a happy holiday.
i liked loadshedding in winter too much as it gave everything new prospect, talk which is overshadowed by loud tv becomes freeflowing and intimate when power in out in winters.
Oh I hate winters coz I constantly keep getting sick! *that’s sad*
But this time around, I am going to miss the Lahori winter cuz I’m no longer a resident of Lahore. *that’s even sadder*
But still, my favourite part would be walking around my university’s campus late at night, wearing my huge army jacket, with fog all around. Oh, I miss home!
no body mentioned fog ??? o_o
driving extremely difficult during fog hours..meaning no late night hang outs in winters :/
.. winter , however, is still preferred!

it started already in islamabad :)
send some here too :)
i agree with sadaff. loadshedding in winter used to be fun. we used to play chupan chupai and scare each other in the dark. and telling a story in candle light was also fun. but then again summer has its own charm
Lahore’s winter is moderate in nature, so khulllllllllllll kar heater, garam lehaf, dry fruit aur sangtroon ka mazah nahi ata hai. Ghar main Chalyan ubaal kar limo aur namak mirch laga kar khana yad ata hai :(. Ohhh and this fog limits the mobility to a greater extent. But still everything about Lahore’s winter is so beautiful to me.
I missed my parents and winters in Dubai so I cam back for good… and now the winter is not coming :( November is almost gone and I am still wander around in half sleeves… And the fog, no matter how much it limits the mobility, it looks good specially in the suburbs and around the canal, I love it
