Mani on ‘Al-Fazal Cafe, Link Road’

Mani tells us about his visit to this newly opened Cafe on Model Town, Link Road:

“Mom..! should I sing humpty dumpty sat on a wall…?”, asked a child from his mother sitting in the car, when he heard the announcement, “Any child who will sing us a song or any other poem will be awarded a special gift hamper!”.

Yeah! its a new attraction for people and especially for the children on Model Town Link Road. “Kaavish Band” has set up a small sound system in front of “Zainab Tower” to publicize the newly opened “Al-Fazal Cafe” in the tower.

“We have been hired by Al-Fazal Cafe to promote and publicize the cafe through a singing activity involving public.” said Ali, the singer and the team leader of Kaavish Band. They have focused the children and are providing the gift of discount meal cards to the participants.

The band has no album yet but Ali claimed that their is an upcoming song titled “Saajna” which would be released soon. It started its performance with the opening of the cafe on 23rd March and is scheduled to perform for about 2 to 3 months.

Whether they’ve succeeded in publicizing the cafe or not, but one thing is for sure that they have succeeded in providing a moment of entertainment to the children and to some extent to their parents.

Would someone please provide me some information about a reasonable restaurant(s) in Lahore?

I am planning to visit Lahore next month.

I have had very bad experiences in the past. The food sucks at most of the restaurants (especially The BIG STARS) and almost all restaurants play music deafeningly LOUD and you can not really talk to or hear a single word of your party members.

I am looking for a real serene and quiet place (with reasonable food) for a romantic evening out. Is there any?

    SOS Please!

@Rana Mian: Try Freddy’s (Continental + Afghani), Cafe Aylanto (Italian) and Salt n’ Pepper Village (Ultimate Desi) on the M.M.Alam Road, Lemon Grass (Thai) in Gulberg, or drop into Pearl Continental Hotel’s Thai Elephant (Thai), Dumpukht (Mughali), or Avari’s Fujiyama Japanese). In addition, there are many cafe’s and coffe shops to have party fun at; Masoom’s, Coffe Tea & Company, Hot Fuzon Lounge, Krem Og Cafe ….

Bet you, you’ll have the best experience at the above places…
