A Dog’s Life

This poor fellow was, in fact, shivering in the scorching heat while sitting in the puddle. I feel sorry I could not help him.

What do you think we can do for such stray animals in our city?

Should the City Government kill them or put them in Rehabilitation centres?

Can we afford providing them with basic food and shelter on expense of thousands of humans that are much worse off?

it is best to put them to sleep. i have a friend who was bitten by one recently and he was down mentally for a few weeks afterwards – the only thing worse that I can think of than a stray dog is perhaps a stray fauji (which we have plenty of and should suffer the same fate!).

I feel as well 2 much sorry 4 these dogs and all animals who have to life like that.
In my point of view they should not be killed, they have as well a right to life, as we have.
I hear it to often “u” should be religous or something like that, wear dupatat or pray 5 times a day. But those people who say that and think they r so good in their religion or as human, but treat animals like that. R in my view the last stupid people in this world. Specially now to the relgious peoplw, didnt God create the animals as well and gave them a point in that world, yes he did and we should not kick what he have create, “BUT THE MOST OF THOSE PEOPLE DO”, really shame of urself, who do that.
We should have a nice relationship with our environment and animals. they r a part of us, as we r a part of them.
If i see a dog like that, my heart and mind will never forgive me if i dont help or do anything 4 him.
I know 4 lots of people listen that stupid or whatever. But i am telling u that what i think about it.
I just have a plzzz on the people and citizens there, plzzz help the animals and help to keep our environment around us clean!

Well, the place I’m working at these days in Canada. The organization is actually a group of companies, one branch of which is called Petcare Insurance (www.petcareinsurance.com). There are insurance (life and medical including dental) plans are available for your pets. I don’t want to advertisment here but the reason to tell you about all this is to give you sense of difference, we see between west and east. In west, pets are really nurtured, cared and ‘loved’. But in countries like Pakistan, the story I regretfully say, is opposite. I don’t say keep pets, or love them so much but still, there shouldn’t be this huge gap. Plus, I think there should be pet shelters and better idea of pet hospitals (not dangar dokters) would provide them a status of ‘living thing’ :) Right now they are like, non-living objects who annoy you and thats all. Which is fairly wrong.

There must be some organization to take care of dogs and cats, specially sick ones.
