Jang Blog – Urdu Blogging in the limelight
Finally, Blogging is coming more into the main frame Pakistani media.
Jang Online, website of the most widely read Urdu newspaper in Pakistan, has most recently started its own Urdu blogging portal where anyone can post anything that needs to be shared with readers across the web-world.
This seems to be a clear indication of how popular, acceptable and important blogging is becoming in Pakistan’s journalism landscape.
In the beginning, it has contributions on topics as diverse as the Bob Woolmer’s controversial death, Electricity ‘Bohran’, the Kafeela Siddiqui case, discussion on Budget and Abrar-ulHaq’s ‘Parmeen’.
This step is going to be a valuable contribution in promoting Urdu journalism on the internet
Gotta pay a visit! => {::Jang Blog::}
Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting it! :)
I wish people use Urdu Blog for constructive discussions and criticism, in short, for betterment of others. I wish poeple not MISUSE this Urdu Blog like mobiles.
That won’t happen in this case as each entry is posted after any required editing done by the Jang Blog team itself..
Well, they are running urdu blog for long. it all started *as far as my limited knowledge says* by BBCUrdu. They are good but it always gives me hardtime reading it with the weird urdu font. Not readable easily!
But of course, its a great step forward!
And about this Qafeela (Kafeela / Kafila) Siddiqui news is making hot here. Its sometimes on the front page of toronto sun or sometimes in the inner pages of metro and 24hrs newspapers, but it never gives a good impression about Pakistan and Pakistani Politicians for sure.
@Hassan: Yea you are right there should always be a team who has a certain code of conduct to follow. Otherwise it can be a disaster. I hope jang blog management has a team of Moderators to see whats going on. Besides it one of the biggest site providing country’s current affairs and insight information to the pakistanis all over the world.
