No end to Imagination: A story

Recently I was honored to meet Mr. Fighter in R.A. Bazaar of Cantt, Lahore.

Yes, the one you can observe in the photo, but he was camera shy and this is his favorite pose off the fight scene (how shareef na?). He is getting prepared for a fight right after two months from now. All he is to do is to eat and drink (when in tension, he smokes too, u can see the wrapper). A teenager is his owner and he bought him for 1000 Rs. Mr. Fighter was quite worried about the fight he is going to have as there are no particular places/grounds where these fights can be carried out. He became quiet as well as tearful when I asked how much share he gets out of the deal or bet. He is a brave one and not afraid of the wounds/damages he is going to receive after that fight (he believes in “payar kia tu darna kia”), actually he told me that he came to Lahore to earn money …so he can go back to his village and marry the one who comes in his dreams (LOL). When I asked why you bought this Chingchi, (you can observe in the pic)…”kadi kadi sada dil V karda ae Laa’or vekhan daa” (sometimes he feels like hanging out in city of Lahore) he said.

In Lahore pigeons are the attraction for the visitors but “sano koi ghaas nai pawnda”(no one cares about us) he said wryly. The owner was all praise for him and hoping for a win win situation. I wish I could have brought some close-ups for you guys, but ….as he is a fighter I was unable to gather enough courage to take the risk (felt a lump in my throat). I hope LMB readers gonna enjoy this unusual encounter with someone other than a human being: A Lahoree (Khaseel) fighter.

Madam your champion seems to be in some sort of BHUNG induced trance.I’ve never seen a more dejected “murgh bezaar” or asia’s “murgh-e-beemaar” than this.
Hoping that he gives some deadly pekking to the opponent.

@Bored: God forbid, if you ever come across a Khaseel who fights, you will know that their dejected LOOK or apperance does not matter. Its all in a bite and some graceful foot work :D

He is in acute physical distress, that is how only he was the chosen one for the coverage.

FYI, he denied any illicit use of drugs :)

Cock fighting, like dog fighting, is considered cruel. It is banned in more civilized nations.

  13. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 2nd, 2007 @ 1:57 am

hmm, yes. and it should be banned. But problem is what to do when civilized and uncivilized are alike :)

For Everyone’s Information, Mr.Fighter’s market value has risen from Rs.82 to Rs.102 in just two days! That explains how valuable this person has become B)

  21. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 2:20 am

well thats understandable… he is a software engineer, aspiring to become a telecom big shot, and above all a fighter for all practical purposes… tough guy, intelligent.. a survivor. The world is his oyster. Even pretty simple is impressed (which is rare in today’s world :)

I say there is good probability of his market value rising further in near future… it may reach in the range of 145-150 before stabalizing… till then, its a must buy :)

  22. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 2:32 am

@Faraz: Dont forget, he is “Aseel” and costs 1000 Rs as mentioned above. Rest is imagination :)

  23. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 2:41 am

imagination is more important than knowledge (albert einstein)

That’s precisely my motto in life :)

  24. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 2:47 am

@faraz: Everything has its importance…. :) and every shud have mottokrzr, without motto life is useless.

  25. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 3:07 am

  26. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 3:15 am

    iphone? whats that???? :D

  27. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 3:17 am

even Mr. Fighter was talking about it…m curious now :) …what iphone?

  28. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 3:51 am

@Pretty Simple: In the age of internet, global warming and time traveling (sort of), how can anyone not know of iphone :)… its like asking where is fortress stadium :)…

Also i wish to fight with this Mr. Fighter now… how can he beat me in introducing you to iphone… where are my gloves.. where’s my camera… multimedia player with atif aslam songs… where’s my PDA… who took my sanity… where’s my iphone.

btw, this video can be a useful guide to iphone (sort of) :)))

  29. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 4:09 am

i must confess time traveling hasnt been invented yet…

  30. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 4:11 am

@Faraz: Yeah, in the age of time traveling one shud already know where Fortress is…yeah…u r right…. I better google iphone ;) .Anyways, thanx for the link :) and fighter does not fight with humans :) he has got a taste of class :D

  31. Pretty Simple (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 4:13 am

lolzz…and then u talk about imagination as motto? …well well, time travelling is there, already invented, but…only a few know it.

  32. Faraz (unregistered) on August 3rd, 2007 @ 4:35 am

time travelling is already invented??? somebody beat me into that as well… now i really want to fight… where are my gloves.. where’s my camera… multimedia player with atif aslam songs… where’s my PDA… who took my sanity…

well i am also working on a new device which is a perfect solution to warm weather… its a machine that u can install in your home and what it does is that it sort of reconditions the air, taking out the heat from inside the room and through a fan and a cooling compressor, reducing the overall temperature.. i am calling it air conditioner… my prototype will be ready by 2008 july… its gonna change the way we live…
