Awarapan & Roxen- Day 2 of the Youth Festival (Summerbash)

The kick-start of this very energetic Youth Festival with the screening of 300 and an immensely entertaining performance by Josh and other local bands on Day 1, Day 2 followed by another power-loaded the bad guy, the worse ones and the slightly better one being the Hero (juuuust slightly!) matinee show for the new indian release Awarapan.

This was accompanied by an adrenaline-pumping performance by Roxen (read Rozan), a local band which made the crowd go mad with their performance. Starting off with a song from the movie Awarapan itself, they jolted the event and brought the walls to life to say the least. Along with the new hard songs, they sang one for old times sake being a good (though a bit strong) cover of the ever-green “Neend Aati Nahin” by Junoon and did a pretty good job at it. There was an unprecedented (though very senti if you ask me!) unplanned unison of the crowd when they were all and I mean ALL singing along helping the vocalist break into the song (before the yelling and the shrieking came in!)

The extremely high-spirited event came to an end with the enthusiastic crowds rushing out looking content over an evening well spent.
Credit goes to JBnJaws who set up such a great opportunity for our “fellow countrymen”to engage in real entertainment in a sane, cultured way!
Way to go!

Hope you had a great time bearing Emraan Hashmi on screen for a good three hours. I really am not a very big fan of his movies :|

    Yeah, Roxen is just awesome!
