Shoman’s Khuda Ke Liye, Legitimated!

The Lahore High Court, in its detailed judgment on dismissing a petition challenging the exhibition of a movie ‘Khuda Kay Liye’, observed that “while enforcing a constitutional guarantee, this court cannot take into consideration loud and ambiguous thinking, newspaper reports or imaginations of a petitioner.

The petition being frivolous must meet its fate.” The court held that the jurisdiction the court could not be used as a vehicle for reformation of society according to the perceptions of an individual Advocate MD Tahir.

The court also held that the court, in exercise of constitutional jurisdiction, acted only to enforce a constitutional guarantee. It would accordingly be naive to seek a grant or relief which not countenanced.

So far Khuda Ke Liye is already doing well in the box office and I believe this news will only make it easier for movie lovers to go and

watch it without any further uncertainties and will only end up breaking more and more records in coming weeks.
