Lahore under Emergency – Day One

The News reports:

The main markets of Lahore including The Liberty Market, Ichhra Bazaar, Main Boulevard, Mozang, Shah Alam, Hall Road, Panorama Centre, Anarkali, Fortress, Main markets at Y and H block of the Defence Housing Authority and Cavalry Ground remained open after the announcement of the state of emergency in the country. Nevertheless, a number of shopkeepers in different markets closed their shops earlier than scheduled.

    Actually this is not laughable but actually shameful that the entire nation has not mobilized against this direct attack against their most fundamental rights.

    Either people don’t understand or don’t care, either way they will pay a damning price for their nonchalant attitude.

    Musharraf has committed High Treason by suspending the Constitution of Pakistan according to Article 6 of the Constitution. There is no justification for this crime.
