Harboring ill will

And it starts, again. In Rawalpindi, atleast 35 persons were killed and around 40 injured as suicude bombers target Pakistan Army ISI at about 8 in the morning. One was on a bus of the ministry of defence carrying security officials near Faizabad and the other was at a check post near GHQ.

In the first attack, an explosive laden Suzuki van rammed a bus carrying employees from the Inter-Services Intelligence agency. The other bomber hit an army checkpoint in another part of the city about 10 kilometers away, said Mohammed Afzal, a local police official. He provided no further details. The intelligence agent at the scene said that the destroyed bus was a 72-seater, and it was badly overloaded, as in more people were believed to be on board. However the army said that only 50 people were riding on the bus.

Road to Democracy: Political debate banned in colleges

And just when I think that our self-appointed pseudo-messiah can’t go any bonkers than he already has, he actually ends up proving me wrong – that too, by a mile! “I’m no dictator” is what he told BBC in an interview a few days back – who is he kidding?!? Every single order/amendment he has passed has been absolutely against the spirit of democracy and yet he claims to be a Champion of Democracy – talk about sordid egos!
Mush_Election_Cartoon.jpg
It seems a new bad news is lined up for us everyday – what did we get yesterday? A ban on political debate in our colleges and universities! Why? Because students have been in the news a lot recently for the peaceful protests that they’ve been organizing against the martial law.
