All
Thanks a lot for your support - i'm pleased to know there are other disgruntled Pakistanis like me out there. Despite the initial uncertainty about my travel plans from London to Lahore, I have decided to push ahead with my plan and will reach Sunday.
For reasons of personal safety, I wish to remain annonymous for now and will reach out to express my views as I collect info from many of you in Lahore.
Stay tuned to this particular thread as I plan to publish a link to my blog here.
Stay safe!

Hello AZFACE, I totally understand where u are coming from. I think there should be a an approachable forum of like-minded people. In this time or turmoil and chaos, this country needs people like you who understand the situation and are willing to do something about it. Its a very demoralizing time for young Pakistanis like me. People like you give us a glimmer of hope.
How can I get in touch with you?

Hi Azface,

I will keenly look forward to your account, as I find myself in a position similar to yours - living for the last seven years in the US. I am deeply sympathetic to the Pakistani cause, and would like to connect with anyone promoting constructive debate.

hi everyone
I'm an overseas Pakistani resident on the UK. I'm due to travel to Pakistan on Saturday and find the uncertainty rather unnerving.
like many pakistanis, I have become quite thick skinned in terms of dealing with difficulty. However, I fear that the cummulative effect of political, economic, and religious turmoil will overflow on a mass scale-in effect dragging us all into chaos.
Having been broyght up in pakistan yet lived and worked in the west for the last 10 years I have a unique perspective on the mindset of educated 'moderates' and the plight of millions of poor pakistanis who continue to be victims of a system which only favours the rich ruling class.
on my return this weekend I plan to write an account of the reality on the ground (in my home town, Lahore) also stir some 'constructive' debate on what it means to be a Pakistani in this globalised age.
I'm keen to connect with anyone who has some passionate (no doubt informed) views on the current statevof affairs and what thevfuture might hold.

Momekh,

I and the people I work with are grieving with you and the people of your country. This was a blow against the concept of civilization, not just Pakistan.

I pray that you and your loved ones will be safe, and that your entire country will recover quickly.

Thank you for your efforts to keep us informed. I discovered your blog through Metroblogging Pittsburgh and hope to read about happier times in the future.
