@mrizwan:

I wasn't criticizing PML-N, but rather suggesting that since it has taken a tougher stand on judiciary and other issues it should also stay away from horse trading and just play a constructive role as the main opposition party. Btw, now with some of the Karachi and Lahore high court judges taking fresh oath I feel like the whole restoration of judges movement is going down the drain, which is such a pity!

Regarding all the other deals that you have mentioned, I simply can't understand MQM's politics. It backed Musharraf like no other party could and then was the first party to nominate Mr. Zardari for President, the man who ousted Musharraf. How ironic! In my humble opinion MQM just wants to clinch on its power in Sindh.

And I honestly don't want to even get started on PML(Q). All I am going to say is that if we know history of its members and how they have sidelined with the ruling party always, why even bothered to deal with them?

You said

Now, does this make any sense? Is PML-N now willing to forgive and forget PML-Q’s role during Musharraf regime? So whatever happened to standing for justice and for your principles? Politics is a dirty game, but if PML-N forms and alliance with PML-Q then I’m afraid the ‘lotta’ tag associated with members of Muslim League will once again be proven correct.

I agree with your comments. Untill and unless PML(Q) does not admit their mistake infront of public, and ask people of pakistan for forgiveness, they must not be accepted by any party.

But you have missed PPP in your post

What you think of PPP and MQM coalition?
PPP and Sherpao coalition?
PPP asking PML(Q) for voting their presidential candidate?
Don't only critisize PML-N ... PPP deserve more critisism, as they have done PML(Q) like under hand deals deals with Musharraf aswell.

Pakistan's history especially its political aspect has been totally circular in nature. With the same adamant leaders and rotten agendas, we have all the same faces on seats of political power all the time.

PPP and N-league both are trying to woo the Q-league into their folds of support, whoever succeeds in doing that, will master the art of horsetrading aka 'Lottaism'.

Keep sharing your thoughts on the matter!!

*heartily welcomes tperacha to the LMB Den*
