@tzaidi first of all Musharraf though my personal preference is not an option any more. However, currently What I see on political landscape is the re-alignment of the right and the left. the battle lines are being drawn as they should be i.e. the secular parties on one side, which include PPP, ANP, MQM and the Sindhi/Balloach Nationalists. On the other side will be the religous right including PML, Jamaat-e-Islami, PTI and others.

In Sindh and Balloach speeking Balochistan religous right out of the picture. In Karachi MQM are firmly in place and are doing an amazing job through their enterprising Mayor and young leadership, unfortunately, the areas of contention in the future would be Punjab and NWFP, where fanatics have considerable penetration.

Coming back to your question, for me personalities at the helm dont matter. In fact we would be better off not subscribing to any personality cult. We just need a central govt which is small in size and scope, maintains stability and encourages business. In fact its the business that should be running the country, dictating foreign and domestic policies - This my friend is the formula for success of nations in the modern day and age.

@ Asim Khan:
hey man.. according to your friend's prediction.. US is late then..
coz I heard that the map of 2006 does not have the geographical distinction of Pakistan..
so please, try to avoid such things and its the time for each Pakistani to show responsibility..
I don't believe America or anyone else is our enemy..
we are the worst enemies of our country..

just be united and follow (at least) the 3 point agenda given by "Kaami"..

Its right the rulers are according to the people of that country but I also heard somewhere that "United we stand.. divided we fall"
what 'they' did is just divided us..

be optimistic and be loyal, at least to yourself..

blaming each other has brought us here..
whether its Zardari or anyone, we must be a nation..
there's no Sarhadi (Pathans), no Balochi, no Sindhi n no Punjabi all are Pakistanis..

@ Kami, I liked your post.

But there is only one question in my mind, that I dont see any new leadership appearing in near future ........ then considering the three options we have which one is most loyal to Pakistan, Mr. Sharif, Mr. Zardari or Mr. Musharaf?

Zardari or no Zardari here are some common sense things we as nation ought to do;

1/ Declare Osam bin Ladin / Al-Qaeda and their sympathisers #1 public enemies. Present a united front against terrorism / terrorist acts.

2/ Taking responsibility for our own actions and stop blaming every thing on America ( a national past time). After all we as a country are as responsible for the mess in the North as any body else.

3/ De-politicise our society and let our middle class do what its suppose to do i.e. work hard and take this nation forward. For once we should realize that folks in Palestine, Israel, Iraq, Chechniya and Kosovo etc. are capable of fighting their own fights and dont give a damn about what happens in this country.

For those who worry too much about loot and plunder, please, rest assured that the Sharif & Zardari feats of the 90's cannot be repeated, mainly because our financial institutions have been privatised and thus been secured. They cannot touch the State bank unless they try to fiddle with the constitution. What remains is traditional plot & permit gone are the days of distributing Taxi's at the Nation's expense or pressurizing Bank Executives to dish out huge un-secured loans.

One of my friend was predicting that Zardari have come into Policitics via a big game. As US map for pakistan for 2010, show that NWFP and Baluchistan is conqurerd by Afghanistan and to make such things possible
the crisis of pakistan is according to the path.
The people of pakistan are in depth of debth while law and policitics are
unstable. With Mr.Zardari as president and Gilani as prime minister how the country will walk on path of success.
On one side, US attack on pakistan soil and army sitting quietly show the drama. The Mullahs of NWFP have said in the news that current crisis
give rise to the history situation of separation of east pakistan.

Yes, you are right we can say anything on blog or inside of room yelling
at the walls but reality is we are speaking to our ownself.Unfortunately,
Pakistan from being have been run by the landlords starting back from 1947. The Business Men are the new name Landlords. When Pakistan was established, the landlords have greatest profits of all times in occuping
land and then selling out to make money. So reality is this, that still
we are in that deep shit that our country is run by Rich Landlords and poor people of pakistan have no choice except to suffer in the name of
policitics, law, Islam, terrorism and US led war on terrorism.

However, the society is corrupted by corruption, lawlessness and terrorist in the name suiciders are the main elements of current situation. We will the see the future if we are not killed but believe me
the future of our next generation according to current situation
not looks good! and people are can left pakistan already did & setttled!
All i can wish is atleast wtever happens but atleast name of Muslims and
Islam is not spoiled in the name of Pakistan.
