Al-Hamra Lahore 2008

The 25th World Performing Arts Festival will kick off at the Alhamra Cultural Complex on November 13 and would host drama, puppetry and music performances from 300 foreign delegates and 500 local artistes from across the country. The 10-day long festival  has brought together 16,000 artistes from 85 countries that would allow the locals to experience a variety of art forms.

    this festival is best entertainment at the end of year,a must see.

    wow..this year will mark the 25th anniversary of this festival…time really flies…for some reason i thought that this event was only 10-15 years old…anyway, after basant (which no longer is there) this event really puts Lahore on the cultural map of the world….

    @tperacha: the best part is its a family event. in lahore me and my family always waits for two such festivities at end of year , one of which has lost its charm somehow, ie, industrial exhibition in lahore cantt , fortress … other is festival ….yummm :d
