‘Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.’Stanley Wolpert

It took us hardly a year after independence to abandon the path that Jinnah had chosen for this country. He was sidelined and died a disappointed and isolated man. The millions who buried his coffin with tears, did not knew that they were burying his dream of a strong and secular Pakistan with him.

To the Jaagirdaar’s and Nawab’s of Muslim League his job was done and Pakistan was safely delivered to them, afterwards it was passed on to Military and the Mullah.

Jinnah would have got the international recognition that he deserved if and only if his followers had not abandoned his ideals and made Pakistan something that his spirit could be proud of.
