SriLanka Cricket Team Attacked by Terrorists

A few hours ago, the SriLankan team was ambushed and attacked by a dozen terrorist gunmen from three sides, who are also being reported to be carrying rocket-launchers and grenades. A few of the guest team’s players were injured, but all of them have survived the attack, while 8 security forces men are reported to have died while protecting the guest team players.

A news report (in Urdu) with video footage from surveillance cameras can be found HERE.

You can follow twitter reports and opinions on #lahore as more facts (and fiction) unfold HERE.

Traffic is being diverted from the Gulberg area to other roads, and the Sri Lankan team is being transported back home immediately.

Stay safe fellow Lahoris.

This is very obviously an Indian plot.

May I ask what is the logic behind this "obvious conclusion"

    @ kaamay,

You don’t need reasons for this, it’s pretty much obvious. Nuff said.

Let me tell you what is obvious.

"It’s the state of denial and perpetual habit of blaming others for our wrongs."

The fact of the matter that every darn country in the world wants us to get our act together, stabilize and clean up our house. Because, we are fast becoming danger to the whole humanity.

People say the attack was so well planned and well executed that it cannot be done by ordinary Talebaan, that’s why had to be RAW. Well, surprise my friend, over 30 years we have been giving millitary traininig to all sorts crack pots and zealots. Even our (ideologically motivated) ex-millitary men are among their ranks. They don’t believe in, democracy or justice, their motive is just to create chaos and pave the way for their screwed up revolution.

This also "obviously" benefits Osama and his Arab crack pots, the deeper the chaos in Pakistan, the more room for him to manoeuvre and increase their safety zone.

Phew, now that the Indian hand in the attack has become obvious, we need to relax and close down all investigations, if there were any going on. Obviously, no Muslim can undertake any terrorist activity, a fact universally known, acknowledged and repeated daily.

If it has not been noticed as yet, may I bring it this forum attention a footage shown by Roshni TV that clearly shows one of the terroists wearing a rakhi on his right hand. The chatter recorded by FIA as reported in Daily Subah today states the terrorists were talking in Hindi and Telegu on their walkies-talkies. Another evidence that gives a clue to the Indian involvement was unusally activity noticed by Pak Rangers across the border in Kasur Sector for last couple of weeks with conspicuous action taken by the Indian BSF to shell a Pakistan village a couple of days back –a hushed up incident of last week that has been reported by the website of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. In addition, some preliminary analysis of the bullet shells collected by Military Intelligence from the scence has shown the make and coding that is normally used by the Hindustan Ordnance and Ammunition Complex of Bathinda. Similarly, a couple of unused RPGs also appear to the products of Pune Arms.

Paki agencies have been able to recover more evidence on the Indian hand in 3/3 in two days than the info spewed out by Kasab in three months.

Only thing now Pakistan will to do is to ask the US and UK(China is already in our pocket) to help pressurise the Security Council so that India could be declared a terrorist state.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to tell you that I have this nasty habit of sleep-talking.
