the ‘wright’ invention

http://lahore.metblogs.com/archives/images/2007/10/filtered%2010-thumb.JPG

Earlier, we used to stare them (birds) flying above us, but now; we fly above them (birds) and no one stare us because; its not a wonder anymore.

Hats Off to the ‘Wright Brothers’.

The pic has been taken in Cantt, Lahore near the new airport and the airline is Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Pakistan’s national carrier.

A servant in a hotel at Food Street, Old Anarkali is throwing the rain water, after a heavy shower a few days ago, to make it easy for the customers to come there for Cehri Meals (meals before the Fajar prayers for fasting).

A bit better than my favorite!

Rainy season is my favorite but when there are clouds, I just can’t stop loving that time.

A hole in the middle of that thick cloud {may be a passage for the lightening bolt :-)}

A few days back they were all over Lahore!

A few days back, Lahore was surrounded by thick clouds. The different patterns of floating clouds and the sun peeping through them were worth to be seen.

The sun rays are bursting out from above the clouds.

The ‘Shahi’ Beauty

I know the picture quality is not worthy to be posted but my mobile was not able to capture the real beauty at 2:00 am due to extreme darkness.

Baadshahi Masjid, Lahore.

But even the bad picture quality can’t hide the beauty…
(I stood there for about 10 minutes just to realize that I’m actually seeing it.)

Lahore Winds

Two days back, Lahore was thrashed by a strong dust/windstorm.

We don’t know what the actual wind speed was, but it was really scary to see tree branches coming down and watching backyards covered with utter dust & those filthy thing; “Lafafas”.

Windy.JPG

Later on, the wind, somehow, got filtered and it became quite clean to breath in while getting your ear-drums beating with sounds of wind like “woofs”.
