Guys, there is a painting exhibition by Aasia Bajwa on 16th and 17th May, from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM in Zavier Hall of PC. Guess what???… you can enjoy host of things there, as there would be many other stalls and interesting items on display.

GJ, DHA

I witnessed one great rainy day in March 1998, just cannot forget that day, had a great college trip to Changamanga and then a great hang out, i mean AWSOME, :) …. sharing long-stem red roses with friends, aahhh, those last college days.

Cherishing good old memories when I was at GJ with my sister last month, was a good practice. Sometimes its good to look back and smile for little, tiny miny joys we had.

Coffee, cool weather and great company, all work together to glorify memories….do you think so???

Guys, MM Alam Road is cleaned up by LDA, finally. Here is the complete story.

One of the busiest roads in Lahore, MM Alam, is now in a better shape as LDA stepped up and took some action on Monday i.e. demolished different structures, which were constructed illegally. We Laaahooreeeeez know how difficult it is to get parking there due to these encroachments all the way from Hussain Chawk to Mini Market. Different areas in Township have also been cleaned up….so guys, go there without fear of traffic hazard, shop around and enjoy a tension-free parking.

4 blasts@Mall Road and one@Ferozpur Road

During last two hours, Lahore experienced four blasts near Alflah building on Mall Road and the recent, fifth blast is just heard near Tamaseel Theatre on Ferozpur Road. Investigations are going on and most of blasts are considered a result of “crackers” as they were not so powerful. Media is airing live footage, playing a vital role to inform public.
I find so much rage against these terrorist activities, even if it is for harassment by antisocial elements. It is happening right after first ten days of month of Muharram, when security measures seemed bit relaxed. I request LMB readers to pray for peace and serenity, that is all we can do right away (yeah, feeling helpless).

Winters, Chaman ice cream and Saadiq dry fruit

I am sure a lot of people would agree that they develop certain craving for icecream during winters, so i am not alone. Chaman ke ice cream is famous, very famous yet cheaper, you can get three whole scopes with mouth-watering fruit and cream dressing topped with dry fruits in just 60 Rs. I admit, my aim was just to get some dry fruits from Saadiq, next to Chaman but i simply could not resist the urge for thandi thaaaaaaaarr ice cream, ie, killing two birds with one stone :p.

I heard they use only fats to make this ice cream (?), in fact i am pretty sure that they use big portion of fats because its too greasy (still tasty), thats what my inner chef told me ;), who exist right there inside every Lahori. However, having such a treat once a year is not harmful (…justifying..lolz) but if you question about quality…..ummm and compare it with some imported ice cream, sadly, it will disappoint you.

Khair, Chaman is famous, it rocks and rules, ( bus keh dyaa :D )….. so readers, right after reading this complex criticism, don’t think too much, go and grab a bowl of ice cream right away…and enjoy your Lahori winters.

Services Hospital Strike

Couple of days back i was heading towards Services Hospital and when i almost reached there, i saw a huge crowd right in front of the gait….one person redirected me to another route and said due to strike, all doctors are on road, and in fact media and police were prominent features on Ferozpur Road….
I know facts about this strike but no one cares about other’s pain. Ferozpur road is all-time-busy road specially during school and office timings. Why we are becoming so selfish that we just cannot stop thinking about our own benefits and creating trouble for others…..specially in this case, i say they could have chosen some other place to protest.
Doctor’s strike continued for 2-3 days but it created somewhat tense environment for patients and their attendants. Can’t we make some definite rules for a peaceful and focused protest??

A Fair Goodbye from Mushy

So everyone is happy?? (Don’t worry you will get another chance to be happy in couple of years again by our presidents and politicians with same scenario and leg pullings). Mushy with teary eyes just said good bye to us as a president. He had his options that he could have used but he decided to resign.

In my personal opinion fair politics is an old story. Corruption is undermining this institution called government and we are going into deep trouble. We are getting used to sit back and relax before getting into new trouble, its a cycle.

He said in the end “Pakistan ka Khuda Hafiz” and same i say “hamara allah hee hafiz”

Anyways, best of the best things he did was that he made MEDIA so strong. Do you guys have your words about his best and worst deeds??????

Happy Independence Day

I wish every Pakistani a very happy independence day :).

This day brings me lots of delightful childhood memories, when we used to get together, shop around and decorate our house with flags and candles and believe me, hamaisha barish ho jati thee :(. This is happening again, monsoon downpours are right here and affecting most of the country, but still the spirit is there, kyon bhai?? So what activities you guys gonna’ have on this holiday? Just sleeping (zzZZZZZZ….) or decorating and some bhangra stuff at Mall Road?????

LHR Vs KHI

Actually somebody recently told me that the Famous Bundo Khan of Lahore, which is a great place to have great BBQ, is in fact the copy of THE ORIGINAL “Al-haaj Bundo Khaan” of Karachi. Well, it was something new (read shocking), i mean, i never knew that. Do you guys have any idea whats the real story behind????

Tay ferr hoyaa yoon that recently i watched famous series from distant past known as “Fifty-Fifty” and one thing i wanna’ talk about is this skit where they made “Bashera in Trouble”, a beautiful mix of Punjabi and English, making it Punglish (OoopSss!!) ;) , yes, they gave the concept of making a Pujnabi Movie in English :|
I know it sounds weird , BUT, it was a good peice of creative work that makes you laugh your heart out…
