Just few days back a friend was broadcasting that this Monsoon is going to bring hell lot of rain. Start of july and the season is already here; lots and lots of water was pouring down from the skies yesterday. Pretty early than expected, I reckon. But that’s no excuse for our Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to make out one. I had been literally drowned yesterday, and now I’m really thinking about selling my bike and buy a boat! No joke, really. What our dear LDA is up to? Having been bred in Islamabad the scenario was little disturbing for me at first. Multan Road vanished completely under the water and I couldn’t figure out my way back to the city. Isn’t LDA supposed to fare better if you want to survive (Islamabadians read: enjoy) the season? Eh?

My recommendations for the rest of the season: give away your bike/car/whatever-you-have and buy a good boat. Anyone for a rowing competition in Chuburgi Lake?
