Entertainment in lahore .Part 1

Ok, so there are lots of historical places in the city but where should one to go to spend the evenings. Once a person has a stomach full of going to these places and discovering the history in them, where else can he go. Lahore is better off then many cities when it comes to life outdoors (do I even agree with myself on this?) but still the entertainment scene in the evening is lackluster .Yes ,it is the same problem you find with other Pakistani cities too.

Concerts, plays happen rarely and literary activities happen even more rarely. Cafes and eateries have become substitutes for other places of entertainment .So what do the masses do entertain themselves in the evenings? (By masses, I mean the People who have are rich and fortunate enough to afford some sort of entertainment).Go to Pace shopping centre, Public parks, dine out or attend the school functions (if any).Sheesha and snooker spots are also popular among the youngsters .But how long can you go to these places before getting sick of them

There are some clubs which offer membership to government and military officers or the People who can afford the exorbitant member ship charges. Royal Palm Golf and Country Club and The Planet are the two promising venues which have opened up in yesteryears. Both of them have been trying hard to provide some kick-ass entertainment to their members .However both of them have excruciatingly high membership fees and make deliberate efforts to make their facilities elitistic. The middle class has a choice of very few venues which they can frequent regularly.
