So, here is my first entry. An excerpt from a story I wrote.
Setting: Lahore. : )
“Old-City, he thought of it, the seed of Lahore. Occupied by the lowest income groups, ironically, the old-city becomes the hub for the celebration of Lahore
think Basant, think Old-City…
think Old-city, think horrible poverty luking there…
The scene you have described is like a party going on in a hall under whose floor a volcano is erupting.
The same feeling that all of us experience when we witness those beggars who stick their faces and hands at our cars windows when we stop at traffic lights .
The rich poor gap is very ,very scary in Third world countries.
