circles
I’m probably just being strange…but it feels like an uncanny number of things in Lahore are circular or close to it. There’s that road which is a huge circle – the one near garden town. (I went round it once entirely today, forgetting where to turn off it…but am not sure what it’s called.) There’s liberty, which is a semi circle.
There’s defence itself, which is circular in the sense that it just wraps around and z block is right next door to a block. There’s y-block’s ‘gol market’ (round market).
And there’re these circles in the new foodstreet grill thingies, which my friend and i sagely figured out symbolise anar and kali separately.
am i just being strange? :/
glad you pointed out. but you missed the actual circular road :P the one which runs from railway station up to urdu bazaar. a very crappy road indeed, full of dust and smoke.. perhaps, it’s the most polluted area of the lahore
model town is a series of concentric circles too, and there’s libery ka gola…anyone remember ‘the crucible’ ? “there are wheels within wheels in this village, and fires within fires!”
