My post for the day relates to the uncanny bluntness that most of the lahoris seem to have, fortunately or unfortunately:)

I happened to accompany my mom to the ‘sabzi and fruit’ wala today…the owner ‘munshi’ (yes its actually his name) is well renowed in the sabzi zone and the world of the sabzi-buying aunties and uncles…obviously mostly the former.

so there’s this aunty getting her bill made of the zillion veggies she bought…and she goes to munshi…very casually:
“Hai mushi tu kinni mehngi sabzi deina ae…itwaar bazaar wich ais tou adhaa rate hai!”

and munshi’s ever calmer and composed reply:
“Tou maaji tussi oothon hi leloo na!”
:D

(for those of u who wont get my roman punjabi…:P he casually suggested the aunty to go buy the sabzi from itwaar bazaar since she said it was cheaper there rather then waste time at his shop getting more expensive veggies:)

needless to say the aunty paid the bill and left without saying a word after that!!!
