Damages in Lahore

According to News reporting agencies, only two major damages; the first one in Shah Alam Market and the second one near Rangers Headquarters, Allama Iqbal International Airport have been reported in Lahore so far. The result was a number of casualties and collapsed buildings.

In addition to the two major collapses, severe damage has been done to hundreds of houses and commercial buildings in interior Lahore. It has been reported that windows were shattered at the State Bank of Pakistan building on the Mall, while the Bank Alfalah’s main branch in front of Wapda House was also damaged.

It’s quite sad to hear about thousands feared dead in parts of Northern Pakistan and Kashmi. May God bless all of those who have been suffering from this tragedy. We should also be thankful to God for saving much more densely populated areas in upper Punjab including Lahore, which, otherwise, could have resulted in millions of people dying of falling concrete and cracking earth…
