I was watching Dr. Shahid Masood on ARY Digital live from Muzaffarabad where he was interviewing Brig. Ehsaan and a local citizen. Brig. sb lost his own 11 years old son in earthquake and yet he was out there trying to save lives and helping survivors. Just in the middle of discussion Shahid Masood mentioned one thing and I have no words to explain how I felt about it just hearing it on television. He said he has been in city for last 2 days and there are very few children around. He said he saw men, women, old people, young people and in short people of every other age in city but very few children. After a moment of silence both Brig. Ehsaan and the local guy explained that a vast majority of children and young people were in schools, colleges and universities that day. Most of the school children didn’t survive specially the primary school children. This earthquake has wiped out a whole generation.

They say it was God’s will but I don’t understand why God wants a city without or with a very few children. Do you?

I can understand your feelings but this is fate and we can’t fight our fates. It’s testing hour for us and we all togather should think how can we help the victims. Truly speaking, i can’t sleep in the nights and think about the innocent kids-

Brother, This is not a time to question God’s will but to ask for His Help. Only He can take us out of this tragedy. Indeed God has a plan for everything.

He who has a plan may give all the ones affected the courage and strength to deal with this loss.

I don’t know what everyone else’s point of view is on this, but perhaps our lives were becoming too apathetic. Something like this wakes us up and makes us realize that maybe we cannot continue ignoring our responsibilities. When too much negativity like this accumulates, it must result in something physical. It’s all about positivity and negativity, because nothing can exist without this balance. You can look at it from a religious point of view, or any other point of view, but every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And for that we must look at ourselves and our actions.
