Miracle :)

Eight days after the earthquake, four children aged between 7 months and 9 years have been rescued from a house at mountain top 7 KM from Balakot. I was watching CNN when they reported this unbelievable story of survival. They are two babies (youngest one is 7 months old) and two kids. Their parents are believed to be dead. The elder brother, a 9 years old kid, somehow managed to keep his brothers and sisters alive by giving them food and water for 8 days.

And finally today, after walking hours, he was able to come down to an army camp in Balakot and told them about his brothers and sisters. A rescue team was sent immediately which brought them back safely. According to ISPR spokesman Maj. Gen. Shaukat Sultan, the boy is a hero. Apart from being exhausted, all the children are healthy.

Who says miracles don’t happen anymore? :)

Subhaan Allah, indeed! This kid is more than a hero. I am amazed at the indomitable spirit of this young boy that kept him going after realizing that his parents are no longer alive.

I tend to watch very little TV these days, since the images are so emotionally overwhelming, even days after the event that it becomes difficult to cope with them. Hence, I was not aware of this story.

Interestingly enough children are emotionally and physically far more resilient than adults. That too is the intelligence of the nature to ensure longer term survival of the species.

May Allah Bless them and Keep them Safe.
