Children – 2

Huma posted this up on the karachi metblog about Mehreen who is “collecting drawing books, activity books, colouring pencils, crayons, story books in urdu, plasticine (sp?), SIMPLE board games like ludo etc. – anything and everything that would keep children (younger and older chd) busy as they lie injured in medical camps. (Open to other/similar contributions.)” and needs help.

On a related note, the LUMS Disaster Relief Fund (LDRF) is:

planning another volunteer mission to Abbotabad over the Eid Break, likely to be leaving on Saturday from Lahore and returning on Tuesday.

Our aim will be to finish off the work we started last weekend in the area of Patient Tracking System, Organisational Plan and Inventory Management.

In addition, we are planning to deliver tents and help in establishing a tent village in the region.

We will also be delivering toys to children afftected by the earth quake and as well as doing whatever else is needed on the ground. We need help in collecting toys as EID gifts, these can be donated through Saqib on 0300 241 7941.
