classical nights and morning skies
I have had a strange love toward lahore’s misty mornings ever since I was child. Yesterday, I saw morning sky after a long long time… it was it’s usual gorgeous!
Since I wasn’t up to anything sunday night, I decided to visit the festival at last. To my surprise, it was classical night! Sunday, I ask? I always longed to listen to Ustad Shaggan live (now don’t raise your eye-brows over a Pathanay Khan fan!), but unfortunately had to leave the arena early. Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan was his majestic best; this guy has got all the ingrediants to be the next giant, I tell you. You should have been there!
Ah, it was nice to meet Atif after some time, but we had little to chat when Alhamra Open Air was rocked by Ustads of their own class. Btw, you outta get ‘Meda Ishq Vi Toon’ of Pathany Khan from SangeetRadio.com.
