Just caught the picture browsing a newly-discovered-photo-gallery. The motion in the photo and the composure of the rider is unmatchable. I don’t remember what the sport is called, but it’s a very old one in Punjab. Click the picture for the larger view and more details.

    You are right that its a traditional game from Punjab and in the past one could always see it during the Horse and Cattle Show in Lahore.

    The game by the way is called “Tent Pegging”. Its origins are attributed to the 5th Irish Lancers during the British Raj.
