Gateways to Lahore
The Punjab Archaeology Department (PAD) has prepared a proposal for the conservation of five (out of 12) gates of the Walled City. The five gates proposed to be conserved are Bhaati, Lohari, Delhi, Sheranwala and Kashmiri gates. Originally there were 12 passages to the Walled City, but now only five remain intact. It would be very nice to see these gates revitalized to there original beauty. Lahore has a huge potential to become a tourist hotspot if they play there cards right…Lahore must reconstruct the Old City…every gali!
