Allama Iqbal’s bustling Airport


According to The News, the annual number of passengers at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) Lahore has increased from 2.3 million to 2.9 million in three years.

The new airport, completed three years ago on March 17, 2003 at a cost of Rs.10.5 billion, was not closed even for a day during this period.

Through its flight operations, it earned Rs.1.964 billion last year. Indian Airlines, Singapore Airlines & Etihad Airways, all have started their operations from the airport. Air Lanka, Pearl Airlines & Safe Air are also going to launch their flights from here soon.

The construction of a Cargo terminal at the airport will be completed this year.

    Singapore Airlines? i dint know they fly from lahore
