All that we want!

Wow an excellent rainy season going on!!! time for some hot pakoras han!! well all that glitters is not gold even when we look at the bubbling gutters even on main roads like Davis Road. Oh My God! all the road gets shallow deep in the filthy mud wid so stinky and lousy smell…yakhh!!!

And what not else to talk about. I must say we should all be switching to some very cheap mobiles as well for our own security. Mobile snatching is getting common these days in this crowded metropolis. Why dont i quote the incident happened to me. It wasnt late in night and around just 8pm while i was just standing on the bus stop at McDonalds Gulberg when two guys came over and snatched my mobile with cash as well. I was in a hysteria for few moments before coming to senses what had just happened to me. Then i just went home empty pockets wondering if i had only argued with them (a big mistake indeed it would’ve been). With that I would also share with you that a guy (mechanial engineer in early thirties) had been shot dead for the similar incident in garden town just because of the row started with the gansgters.

What comes to your mind now? I really think the authorities better strongly notice it and make ourselves realize that we live in the same old lahore which is a fun place to live after all.

Yes very true. Mobile sntching is findind its foot hold in Lahore slowly. Previously it was a phenomenon restricted to Karachi only.

Recently a cousin of mine was shot outside his house in DHA Lahore as he was talking on his mobile with a friend. Luckyily the bullet hit his leg and he survived. But the entire family was shaken by the incident. This happened in broad daylight at 6PM… and DHA is supposed to safe?..eh!

Anyone Can be next in line as mobile phone is a necessity these days and everyone carries it. So my advice to everyone wud be to be very careful about your surroundings when talking on your mobile phone because personal precautions is all we can do as I have no hope of any action being taken by the authorities in this regard anytime soon. Its realy hopeless. So be careful.

What really comes to my mind is that you can barely write coherently.

What CAN we do to prevent phone snatching? I mean sure i can take precaution and not use my mobile in public, but often a person’s dress gives away his identity and financial state. Even if i don’t display a mobile, since everyone has it these days, what is to stop the thugs in harassing just about anyone? I haven’t heard reports of phone snatching from the ladies. Are their kind immune to this phenomenon or just quiet?
Bad luck my SE T610. Im going to probably buy a cheapo nokia just to be safe.

What really comes to my mind is that maybe you are a bit slow to understand. May I suggest that you read the post again so it becomes more coherent to you because it was pretty coherent to the rest of us.

Keep up the good work Nomee…aur barish mein pakoro’n ka kyoon itna mazaa ata hai, mujhay aaj tak samajh nahin aya.

@Raza – let me give you some examples.
    1. all the road gets shallow deep in the filthy mud wid so stinky and lousy smell…yakhh!!!
    2. And what not else to talk about.
    3. I was in a hysteria for few moments
If you consider these examples coherent – then you certainly have my sympathies.

I dont completely disagree with you here. But thats how it goes in the blogging, whatever comes to your mind spill it out without being rhetoric. Its perfectly natural. Unlike you, I’ll try to stick to the work-around of the ‘actual stated problem’ rather than its syntax and semantics.
Yes mobile snatching has been a big problem lately and we should come up with proper ways to eradicate it. More than 80% of snatchers get rid of the cell fones by selling them off. So IMHO, there should be some enforcement at the mobile-shopkeepers end prohibiting them from buying any mobile without its purchase receipt! Yes, apparently it sounds hard but once its made a ‘law’, things should come under control.

@rightSideOfWrong – point taken. Althought I must add that while I can see writing whatever you want in your personal blog, I expect a higher standard for a Metro blog. After all, the authors here are selected.

@rightSideOfWrong: i totally agree with you. some people are so negative they can’t think of any good thing. but its a free world, one can write things and others can disagree/dislike.
anon: whatever you think about someone’s writing skils is subjective. its very much possible that people think shit about the comments you make. i read you often on khi blog and to me you are nothing more than an attention seeker. @rightSideOfWrong: i totally agree with you. some people are so negative they can’t think of any good thing. but its a free world, one can write things and others can disagree/dislike.

So, maybe now you can see that I wasn’t the only one who understood the message behind the post. A proper mind only needs a nudge in the right direction; one doesn’t need to lay out all the rules and directions for it. And thats what blogging is all about. Its a rant…it doesn’t have to be a literary masterpiece…its sole purpose is to get its message across and in this case, it did that quite fine. And if you couldn’t understand that message because the writing style wasn’t “coherent” enough for you, we all feel truly sorry for you.

@Raza – thank you so much for setting me straight. I see that there is one other person who agrees with you; who knew I had a groupie who follows my comments from blog to blog? – I am so gratified. Anyway, from now on, I too shall worship at the altar of mediocrity and poor writing skills. Here is my bit about the topic; written in the manner promoted here.
I do not like the sound Lahore of which is a dangerous place to live. But similar incident happen here too but not always fatal to those the rows start with. I shall be careful when travelling so this tragedies not happen to me. Thank you for these valuable advice!
I am working on bringing more text message abbreviations and ghetto slang into my comments so have faith and don’t feel too sorry for me :)

ANON :), perhaps a better option is to show him how you think this post should have been written. that will be more useful and may be we can learn something from you.

I ‘ll be more than happy to publish it on your behalf. thank you for visiting lahore :)

Darwaish – LOL. That is just so nice, reasonable and hospitable. Thanks. Actually Raza’s posts are really tempting me to visit Lahore in person.
@Nomee – I am glad you did not argue with the robbers. Nothing is worth gettting injured or killed.
