‘Sindh Express’ to be launched

After Karakoram Express, Pakistan Railways is launching a new high-speed railway express service between Lahore and Karachi.


‘Sindh Express’ will make only four stops at Khanewal, Rahimyar Khan, Sukkur & Hyderabad throughout it’s journey from Lahore to Karachi. Brand new Chinese coaches are to be run as Sindh Express.

Chief Minister of Punjab, Ch. Pervez Elahi, will inaugurate the express on July 24 at Lahore.

    while this is a good step but railways security needs to be looked at..railway isnt safe anymore..quite a few accidents have happened this year!

    As for the latest news, ‘Sindh Express’ is Pakistan’s fastest train running at the speed of 140Km/hour as it carries 722 passengers on Lahore-Karachi-Lahore route.

    @adeel: I’m not sure for the timing but my rough estimate is 14hours.
